HOW OUR WHISKY IS MADE

A SPECIFIC BLEND OF WHISKIES FOR A UNIQUE TASTE

Selection of the finest single malt & top quality grain Whiskies for the blend.

 

Speyside malts as the backbone of the blend to bring a fruity character enhanced by vanilla smoothness.

 

Blended under the supervision of our Master Blender, Stephen Woodcock, to maximise the flavours.

A CAREFULLY MONITORED AGEING PROCESS

A strict selection of the casks for a rich aromatic palette.

 

A majority of American Oak casks that brings out flavours of oak and vanilla as well as a smoother profile.

 

A precise share of first fill ex-Sherry cask for subtle notes of dried fruits.

A SPECIFIC MARRYING & FILTRATION PROCESS

The Whiskies are blended together in a 21-day marrying process.

 

This long marrying will enable to filter the final blend at a relative high temperature (6°c).

 

CUTTY SARK will retain its delicate and fresh flavours by avoiding a harsh chill filtration.

After nearly a century of adventures and discoveries, CUTTY SARK has gathered its passion and expertise to create a 12 year old high quality Whisky. Offering a  « mellow mouthfeel », the expression is balanced by complex notes of spice and fruit.
